Boundary problems for equations of Dirac type
Robert Bartnik
21 Oct 2008, 16:00

The essentials of the theory of linear elliptic boundary problems have been well understood by the experts since the 1970s at least. This talk will describe the main ideas and results in a form which will (hopefully) be accessible to mathematicians seeking to applythe basic results to problems in other areas. The spinor proof of the positive mass theorem provides an excellent motivating example.
