During the seminar we want to study the structure and the representation theory of loop groups and their applications in geometry (harmonic maps) and physics (conformal field theory). The seminar is attended to interested students and postdocs working in Differential Geometry or Mathematical Physics, who are not yet experts in loop groups. The seminar will be held in german, the talks will be held by the participants.
